Pie Baking Master Class

Language: English, but Danish is spoken and understood!

Whether you’re a regular baker or barely know your way around the kitchen, this is a fun and informative class that will get you up to speed on the fundamentals of authentic American-style pie baking. You’ll work together with The American Pie Company’s Erin Eberhardt Chapman, who will introduce you to the wonderful, rustic, diverse world of pie. Classes are small, for a cozy atmosphere and closer assistance.

What you’ll learn: 
With a complete hands-on experience, you’ll learn the basics of pie dough, rolling out, and assembling pies, along with learning techniques for different crust designs and weaving, plus tips for perfect baking.

We’ll focus on 1 classic fruit pie, like Apple Cinnamon or Tart Cherry, and you’ll also learn to make a “blind bake” (pre-baked) crust, for the second pie. With the blind baked crust, you’ll learn to fill it with a classic American Lemon Meringue or Banana Cream filling.

> Recipes home with you (in English or Danish)
> While our pies are baking, we’ll taste other different sweet and savory pies and their textures
> Coffee, tea or cold drinks
> Assistance from staff and clean-up, so you can focus on the fun part!

Participants from 12-15 years old are welcome, with a parent (parent must also purchase a spot)
